merry christmas. whatever. it's movie day. my mom and i wanted to see the queen but it wasn't playing in springfield, illinois. instead i listened to her annual christmas day message. "granny, do you remember the stone age?" classic.

so we went to see dreamgirls. i have to say, totally perfect movie for the day. eddie murphy as the james brown character. plus jennifer hudson totally nailed it. applause in the middle of the film? you know it! r.i.p. j.b.
