i had a four hour break on sunday afternoon so i went to the moma to see the dada show as well as douglas gordon's "timeline." the zurich room in the dada show had such lovely paintings and wool needlepoints by sophie taeuber (1889-1943). i'm not goo-goo for dada, but i liked a lot of what i saw and i became a little more informed. i especially loved all the collage works by kurt schwitters (1887-1978) and jean arp (1886-1966). best part of the visit was herzog & de meuron's "perception restrained." and none of the above photos directly represent anything that i just wrote about. just some drive-by favorites.

ps. see this show. it truly rules.
